WSU Chapter of the Psi Chi Honor Society
Mission Statement:
Psi Chi is the National Honor Society in Psychology, founded in 1929 for the purpose of encouraging, stimulating, and maintaining scholarship, and advancing the science of psychology. Psi Chi is an affiliate of the American Psychological Association and a member of the Association of College Honor Societies. Functioning as a federation of chapters, Psi Chi is located on more than 975 senior college and university campuses. Membership is open to graduate and undergraduate men and women who are making psychology one of their major areas of study and who have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.00, a GPA of 3.20 in Psychology coursework, and a rank in the upper 35% of their class.
Wright State University began its chapter in 1992 and to date has inducted over 250 members.
The WSU Chapter of Psi Chi recruits new inductees in the Fall and the Spring of each academic year. A formal induction and awards ceremony is held in the spring.
