Greetings, fellow students!
The officers of the Psychology Club welcome you to this organization and would like to inform you of the many opportunities that you will have as a member of this club.
The Psychology Club provides you with the opportunity to take advantage of information that will benefit you both academically and professionally. The best part is, you don't have to be a Psychology Major to join. Topics range from information about graduate school and how one should apply to what types of degrees and jobs are available to you, advice on what classes/instructors to take, GRE preparation and practice testing. You will also have the opportunity to meet with and receive guidance from both peers and professional in the field of Psychology.
Meetings are generally held once or twice a month and are conducted in the form of a lecture, workshop or other outside activity. They will focus on a wide range of topics and provide additional useful information designed to help the goal-oriented student.
Our biggest event each year is a trip to Chicago for the Midwest Psychological Association Convention. Those who attend will receive valuable information about research projects and graduate programs, and most importantly, students will have the opportunity to network with students and professors from other schools. Of course, it's a lot of fun, too! To help you get to Chicago for this exciting event and valuable opportunity, the Psychology Club has set up a Point System. All you need is 50 points and $100, and you will be on your way to the opportunity of a lifetime.
All of the Psychology Club Officers and Faculty Advisors have worked hard to provide you with valuable information and unique opportunities. We are excited about the upcoming quarters and can't wait to meet you!
Sincerely,
Officers of Psychology Club
